Verifiable credentials and issuer trust

The W3C credential model describes claims exchanged among issuers, holders and verifiers. A verification workflow also needs an explicit trust policy, status handling and privacy controls.

Applying the concept

Start with the claim and the issuer authorized to make it. Decide what information a holder should disclose and what a verifier must check. Treat cryptographic verification and acceptance of the issuer's claim as separate decisions.
