API integration requirements

Authentication, authorization, versioning, reliability and support requirements for an approved integration scope.

Current evidence status

API access is provided to client organisations as part of an implementation. Each client receives environment URLs, authentication credentials, documentation and agreed service levels from our team.

Prepare a scoped access request

Engineers should describe the intended operation, participating organization, required permissions and data sensitivity. Supply expected volume and latency as project requirements, not assumed capacity. Do not include passwords, private keys, identity documents or live customer records in an inquiry.

Require approved interface documentation

Before integration, confirm the environment owner, endpoint provenance, authentication flow, credential scope, rotation and revocation procedures. Obtain schemas, error semantics, version policy, rate limits and change-notice arrangements. Any example must be matched to the authorized environment and current version.

Agree evaluation and operating responsibilities

Each access agreement defines permitted data, monitoring responsibilities, incident contacts and an exit process. Authorisation failures, revoked credentials and duplicate requests are tested before go-live.
